L. Keith Duffer, 47, of Midvale, Utah, passed away on November 13, 2003, at the Grady Memorial Hospital, Atlanta, Georgia, due to injuries suffered on the job. A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 17 at 2:00 p.m. at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. The visitation will be held on Sunday from 4 to 6:00 p.m. at the chapel. He was born May 4, 1956, in Independence, MO, the son of Harold T. and Martha R. Duffer. He grew up in Raytown. Keith was a superintendent for National Welding Corporation with headquarters in Midvale, Utah. He brought much joy to his family and celebrated life in all he did. He enjoyed snowboarding, sailing, 4-wheel rock climbing, rollerblading, mountain biking and was a genuine friend to many. He was preceded in death by his father and is survived by a daughter, Amanda L. Duffer of Overland Park, KS; his mother, Martha R. Duffer of Odessa, MO; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Nancy Jacoby and Trish and Gene Hubbard of Odessa, MO; a dear friend Vicki Rairigh; a niece and five nephews. Keith lived a full life and will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the American Heart Association or The Salvation Army.
