Psalms 23
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil: for thou are with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all of the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Come and Rest
God saw you were getting weary so he did what He thought best:
He came and stood beside you and whispered, “Come and Rest.”
You bade no one a last farewell not even a good-bye
You were gone before we knew it and only God knows why.
The weary hours, the days of pain, the sleepless nights are past:
The ever-patient worn out frame has found sweet rest at last.
Sleep oh dear one and take your rest.
We all loved you, but God loved you best.

Father God, we thank you for the life of our loved one who has gone on to be with You. We thank You for his time on earth and the impact he had on our lives. You are a merciful Father and the source of all comfort.
We thank you for the memories we have and pray that you will show us the path of life, and the fullness of joy in your presence through all eternity. May your love surround us, your Spirit guide us, and your shield protect us. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
