Wilma Duncan, 82, of Independence, MO, passed away on January 12, 2006 at the Independence Regional Health Center. Services will be 10:00 am Monday, January 16, at Speaks Suburban Chapel, with a visitation 6-8:00 pm Sunday at the chapel. Interment in Mound Grove Cemetery. Wilma was born in Grovesprings, MO on May 30, 1923. She grew up in that area and married her life long love Wayne Duncan in 1942. He preceded her in death in 1991. They moved to the KC area in the early 50�s and lived the last forty years in Independence. Wilma was a member of the Community Of Christ Church. Wilma and Wayne had five children, one daughter, Janet died at the age of 4. Wilma�s surviving children are Jerry and his wife Carol, Joyce Hilliard and her husband Roy, Donna Paxton, and Michael Duncan; grandchildren, Kellie Lewis, Lebra Duncan, Julie New, Jason Paxton, and Michael Duncan, Jr. great grandchildren, Austin, Erin, Jeremy, Gabrielle, and Duncan. Wilma is also survived by many family and friends in the Lebanon area. Wilma was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. "She always put her children first and gave us love and encouragement. Her spirit is strong and will be with us always. We will miss her and love her the rest or our lives.�
