Kathryn M. Dunning

Kathryn Marie Dunning, 80, of Lee�s Summit, MO passed away on October 14, 2004. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 16, at the First Presbyterian Church of Independence. The service will follow the visitation at 11:00 a.m., with the burial at Mt. Washington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the American Heart Association or the Beta Sigma Phi Foundation. Kathryn was born on March 17, 1924 in Arkansas City, KS to Donnell H. and Beryl M. Fisher. She attended High School in Marion, KS. Afterwards, she attended Wesley Hospital School of Nursing, in Wichita, KS, graduating with her RN in 1945. After nursing school she moved to Kansas City, MO to work as a TWA Stewardess. Kay then worked as Dr. Sanford Cockerell�s nurse for 34 years. She was active in Beta Sigma Phi for over 50 years; served as an Elder of 1st Presbyterian Church of Independence, as well as volunteering for Planned Parenthood of Independence, MO. Kathryn is survived by her husband of 58 years, Morris Dunning; son and daughter-in-law, Don and Donna Dunning; daughter and son-in-law, Fran and Larry Haney; and daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Ron Willeke.
