Marilyn Durgan, 73, of Sugar Creek, MO passed away August 20, 2019. Memorial visitation will be from 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at Carson-Speaks Chapel. Marilyn was born on February 15, 1946, in Kansas City, KS to Harry and Gladys (Asher) Larson. She joined 2 older sisters and her twin Carolyn. She grew up in the Argentine area and attended Argentine High School. In 1981 at a Parents without Partners, Marilyn met the love of her life, Daniel Durgan. After 1 month of dating, Dan knew he had found the one and asked Marilyn if they could get married before hunting season in Michigan. She gladly accepted. They were married on November 14, 1981. Joining the union were Dan’s 2 sons and Marilyn’s 2 sons. They were married in Independence, MO and settled the new family into their home in Sugar Creek, Missouri. Marilyn enjoyed camping, fishing, reading, and crocheting. She loved large holidays with her family around her, especially Christmas and Thanksgiving. Marilyn was dearly loved and will be forever missed by her family and friends. Survivors include: husband Dan Durgan; son Steven Durgan; son Brian Durgan and his wife Bronna; son Eric Hilt and his wife Sandy; son Aaron Hilt and his wife Chrystal; grandchildren Brittley Durgan, Brendon Durgan, Brylan Durgan; Bretton Hilt and his wife Megan, Katie Hilt and Kelsey Hilt; great grandson Alister Hilt; sister Sue; 2 four legged children Dixie and Bella; a large extended family and many friends. Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents and sisters Gayle and Carolyn. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Great Plains SPCA in Marilyn’s memory
