Susan Kathryn Duvenick, 62, Lee’s Summit, MO passed away Sunday, May 18, 2014.
Susan was born October 28, 1951 in Mt. Ayr, IA the daughter of Donald Max and Mary Kathryn (Spencer) Richmond. She taught for over 30 years as an elementary teacher for the Lee’s Summit School District. Susan enjoyed reading, spending time at the Lake of the Ozarks and especially with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Richmond in 2010. Survivors include her loving husband, Robert Duvenick; sons, Joshua Leighninger and wife Kristin, Nathan Duvenick; grandchildren, Taylor and Max Leighninger; mother Kathryn Richmond; brother, John Richmond and wife Mary; sister, Donna Richmond; sister-in-laws, Cathie Duvenick; Phyllis Richards and husband Blair; brother-in-law, George Duvenick and wife Renee.
A memorial visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, May 23, 2014, at Speaks Suburban Chapel; 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Lee’s Summit Educational Fund.
