Our beloved mother and grandmother, Joyce A. Dyer, passed away in her Lee’s Summit, MO home on July 2, surrounded by family and friends. Joyce was born May 18, 1932 in Kansas City, MO to Ralph and Edith Mitchell.
Joyce was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, crafting, decorating, entertaining, and most importantly, spending time with her family. She loved the Lord with all her heart and soul and ministered to countless people throughout her life. Her sweet spirit and gentle touch will be remembered and missed.
Joyce was preceded in death by the love of her life, Richard A. Dyer. She is survived by her son, Timothy (Andrea) Dyer of Lee’s Summit, MO; daughters, Anne Knight of Independence, MO, Sally (Mark) Wright of Holt, MO, Sarah (Cedar) Robinson of Lee’s Summit, MO; 22 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Joyce’s life will be held Sunday, July 14 at 2 p.m. at the Gamber Center - 4 SE Independence Ave, Lee's Summit, MO 64063. Contributions in memory of Joyce may be made to RiverTree Christian Church, 7373 Portage Street NW, Massillon, Ohio 44646, Denote for Jim and Tony Kay Schutz.
