Teri Ann Dzula (Nave)

Teri A. Dzula, 68, Independence, MO passed away surrounded by family on Nov. 10, 2017. Services will be 10 am, Thursday, Nov. 16 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055; interment at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Wed. at the chapel. The family requests contributions to the Kansas City Hospice House, 1500 Meadow Lake Pkwy #200, Kansas City, MO 64114.
Teri was born July 28, 1949 in Kansas City, MO and graduated from Ruskin High School. She retired from G.E.H.A. after twenty-one years as a Sr. Claims Adjuster in 2005. Before that she had driven a school bus for the Ft. Osage School district. She really enjoyed that job and had kept in touch with many former students. She enjoyed cooking, watching the Food Network and looking up new recipes.
Teri was preceded in death by husband Stan Dzula, daughter Stacia Dzula and sister Nanci Myers. She is survived by daughters Tina Dzula and wife Lori, Kansas City, MO; Natalie Knisely and husband Marcus, Independence, MO; son Ric Dzula and partner Ryan Riggs, Neptune Beach, FL; grandchildren Brianna Knisely, Jacksonville Beach, FL; Blake Knisely; Holly Estrada, both of Independence MO; Heather Austin; Hannah Boger, both of Blue Springs, MO and three great-grandchildren.
