William Eagle

May 1, 1919 — September 16, 2012

William Harold Eagle, 93 of Independence, MO passed away Sunday, September 16, 2012 at his residence. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 22, 2012 at the Buckner Community of Christ. Burial will follow in Buckner Hill Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Vitas Hospice. The family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday where there will be a masonic service to be held at 7:30 p.m. at the Carson-Speaks Chapel 1501 W. Lexington Avenue, Independence, MO 64052. William was born May 1, 1919 in Vulcan, WV to William and Georgie (Johnson) Eagle. William worked various jobs in his life. He was an iron worker, coal miner, construction worker, diesel mechanic and handy man. He was also a caretaker for a church camp, Camp Bountiful located in Jackson Ohio for several years. William was a member of the Buckner Community of Christ and served as an elder. He was also a member of the Ironton, OH Masonic Blue Lodge. He enjoyed fishing and oil painting. He was married to Mabel Lorene (Williams) on February 9, 1941 and she survives him of the home. Other survivors include; a daughter, Margaret Ann Patch and her husband Fred of Brunswick, GA; a grandson, John Haas and his wife Mary Lagud-Haas of Independence, MO, their daughter, Adrianne Scarborough and husband Mickey and their children, Aiyana, Mickey Jr, Amari and Tayton; a step grandchild, Angela Carson and her husband Walter and their children, Langley, Walter IV and Patch. He also leaves behind his church family and friends, as well as numerous relatives located in Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia.
