James East

James R. East, 70, of Blue Springs, MO passed away April 22, 2014. A visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 8, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 9, at the Suburban Chapel. James was born January 27, 1944 in Indiana. He served over 20 years in the Airforce. He loved reading and watching sports, especially golf and basketball. He also had a love for animals, most being cats. James was preceded in death by his first wife, Yachiyo East. He is survived by his wife, Terri East, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; four daughters, Angel Antill of Independence, MO, Zita Tyger of Pennsylvania, Sasha Uberti of Blue Springs and Shannon Sweetland of Springfield, MO. He also has 11 grandchildren. James was a very loving father and grandfather, who will be remembered as a person who would do anything for anyone in need.
