Erin Eastburn

August 8, 1938 — September 27, 2014

Erin F. Eastburn, 76, of Bates City, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2014. A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 30th at Carson Speaks Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 1st at Timothy Lutheran; 425 NW RD Mize Rd. Burial will be at Floral Hills, Kansas City. Erin was born August 8, 1938 in Kansas City as the only child to Robert “R.L.” and Adele Margaret (Messenbrink) Davis. She graduated from high school and later married Ronald K. Eastburn on February 11, 1961. Erin worked for UMB and US Bank earning the title of Branch Manager before her retirement in 2010. She was a devoted member of Timothy Lutheran Church; participating in Stephen’s Ministry, Break Time, and contributing to the church library as well as many other church groups. She was especially talented with musical instruments, fluent in four languages, and seen as an intelligent, “Proverbs 31” kind of woman. Her family remembers her as determined, dedicated, as well as patient, loving, and kind. She is loved and will be missed. Erin leaves behind her daughters, Diann Looney and husband Mike, and Denise Burr and husband Jim; grandchildren, Joey Guinn, Eric Chapman, and Michael Keith Looney; and beloved Yorkie, Bailey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ron and grandson, Justin Guinn. The family encourages contributions to the Timothy Lutheran Tuition Fund or to MS Society in her memory.
