Thelma Lucille Ecord, 91 of Independence, MO passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2020. Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, August 11. 2020 at Blue Springs Cemetery. Thelma was born April 4, 1929 in Branch, MO to Albert and Urania (Carnahan) Jamison. She spent her early life in Branch and graduated from Mack’s Creek High School where she played on the girls’ basketball team. She moved to the Kansas City area after graduation. She had worked most of her life as a seamstress doing alterations and other sewing. She was a cat lover and enjoyed talking to people, she enjoyed her trips to Jerusalem, the senior adult choir at Plaza Heights Baptist was on a weekly bowling team for years and spending time with her family. She is survived by; her daughter, Elaine Dull and husband Jimmie of Blue Springs, MO; a son, Neal Ecord and wife Penny of Lee’s Summit, MO; a sister-in-law, Fontella Jamison of Blue Springs, MO; 3 grandchildren, Jared Dull and wife Lyndsie, Luke Dull and Ciara Dull and 3 great grandchildren, Josie Kuntz, Easton Dull and Pyper Neal. She was preceded in death by; a daughter, Brenda Ecord in 2013, 2 grandsons, Robert Knapp and Kevin Ecord and 5 siblings, Mildred Morris, Don Jamison, Boyd Jamison, Harold Jamison and Evelyn Woodall.
