David Edgman, 54, of Independence, MO passed away suddenly on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at his home. A memorial visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Monday, July 3, 2017 at Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St, Independence, MO, 64055.

David was born on September 26, 1962 in Kansas City, MO to Lewis and Viola (Hansen) Edgman. His family lived in Kansas City until 1975 when his mother’s job moved them to Independence. He attended junior high and high school in the Fort Osage School District. He was a boy scout and also went to Job Corp. David had previously worked for Fixture’s Furniture in Kansas City but was currently doing powder coating at Hub Zone. He loved being outdoors – going for walks and mowing his yard and also really loved playing games on his cell phone and scratchers tickets. Most of all, he loved his daughter.

David will be remembered by his girlfriend Tammy Patton; daughter Stephanie Edgman; son Cody Cowick; grandson Kaiden Cowick; mother Viola Edgman; brother Lewis Edgman; sister Robin Eacret and husband David; nephews Samuel Scaggs, David Eacret Jr, Noah Eacret; nieces Christina Eacret, Rachel Eacret, Brittany Eacret, Jessica Eacret, and Michelle Eacret.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Stephanie Edgman Savings at US Bank.

He was preceded in death by his father Lewis and brother Jerry.
