Bert Edington

Bert H. Edington, 89, of Independence, MO passed away Friday, August 24, 2007 at Rosewood Health Center. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at Carson-Speaks Chapel. Bert was born June 9, 1918 in Independence, MO to Homer and Gertrude (Hutton) Edington. Mr. Edington retired from Allis Chalmers in 1980 after 32 years of employment. He loved sports! Bert had been a Golden Gloves Boxing judge and loved to play golf in his spare time. Mr. Edington is survived by his daughters Donna K. Edington, Susan R. Smith, Deborah L. Ollison; sister Debbie Middleton; four grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
