Julia L. Edison

Julia L. Edison, 67 of Independence, MO went to be with the Lord on Aug. 19, 2003 at Independence Regional Health Center. Services will be 1:00 pm, Friday, Aug. 22, 2003 at the Full Gospel Assembly of God Church, 10537 E. 6th St. Independence, MO 64053. Burial in Mound Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 - 8:30 pm, Thursday at the George C. Carson & Sons Funeral Home. Mrs. Edison was born on Feb. 9, 1936 to Owen and Dorothy (Boyd) Sheridan in Branch, MO. On Nov 29, 1952 she married Dean Edison in Arkansas and then moved to the Kansas City area. In 1970 they moved to the Sugar Creek area. Mrs. Edison was a devoted wife, wonderful mother and grandmother. She was loved by all. She was a member of the Full Gospel Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Nancy Willis and a son-in-law, George Altabas Jr. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Dean Edison of the home. Four daughters, Pam Altabas of the home, Trena Hallavant and spouse, John; Kim Detel and spouse George; Delisa Borchert and spouse Shawn, all of the Sugar Creek, MO. Six grandchildren, Justin and Krista Detel, Tamara and Jackie Hallavant and Jordan and Brandon Borchert. Two sisters, Ernalea Bayless and Naomi Grazier, both of Independence, MO. Also by many beloved nieces and nephews.
