Evelyn A. Edmisson (Coatney)

Evelyn Edmisson, 93, of Independence, MO passed away March 6, 2018. A visitation will be held from 1-2:00 p.m. followed by a 2:00 p.m. service on Monday, March 12, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. The graveside will take place at Brooking Cemetery. Evelyn was born January 1, 1925 in Tunas, MO to William H. and Hercie L. (Crownover) Coatney. In 1996, she retired from J.C. Penny’s, where she had worked for over 23 years. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence R. Edmisson, Jr.; and four brothers. She is survived by daughter, Anita K. Miller; two sons, Bill R. and Gary L. Edmisson; 4 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren.
