Fern G. Edsen

Fern G. Edsen, 82, of Independence, passed away Monday July 21, 2003 at Rosewood Care Center. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 25, 2003 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, burial in Mound Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 24, 2003 at the chapel. Fern was born January 30, 1921 to Lawrence and Cecile Clifford in Alberta, Canada. Mrs. Edsen graduated from William Chrisman High School. On June 20th, 1948 she married Clark Edsen. Fern was an active member of the Stone Church Community of Christ. She loved to sew and tend to her gardens; Fern was a devoted wife and mother. Her husband Clark and daughter Marnie Edsen preceded her in death. Fern is survived by her son Dale Edsen and his wife Tina; one grandson, Eric Edsen, two sisters, Mary Nelson and her husband Dale, Florence Hawley and her husband Bob; and many nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to thank the loving and caring staff at Rosewood Care Center.
