Dorothy Edwards

Dorothy Jesse Marie Edwards, 93, of Independence, MO, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2007 at Rosewood Health Center. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 1-2:00 p.m. Burial in Sunset Hill Cemetery, in Warrensburg, MO. Dorothy was born October 19, 1913 in Colony, OK to William Hubbard and Irene Bessie Belle (King) Farmer. She married Deyo Leslie Ewards in June, 1940. Mrs. Edwards enjoyed making crafts and shopping in her spare time. Dorothy sang in the Messiah and was a member of the Eastern Star and DAR. She is survived by her sons Leslie Richard Edwards, Dale Edmund Edwards and wife Gloria; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Deyo in 1980; and two daughters Doris Marie Stephenson and Sharon Kay Edwards.
