Penny Irene Eglich, born in Kansas City, MO on February 1st, 1972 passed away in Independence, MO on April 12th, 2021, peacefully and surrounded by her family.
Although a native to the region, Penny had a wanderlust soul that led her from coast to coast with her mother and step-father and eventually settled back down where her roots started. She attended Truman High School. Along her journey, she left wonderful memories with many people in every city she went, which was her main passion in her glowing life. She had a love for shelter animals, being a gymnast and cheerleader in her younger years, as well as having a passion for learning many different skills. Family and friends of Penny will also remember how selfless, funny and loving she was. She was preceded in death by her father, James Eglich, Uncle Billy Duren, Uncle Thomas Duren and grandmother, Rose Duren.
Penny is survived by her mother, Glenda McCaslin; step-father, Louis McCaslin; sister, Shelly Noble; son, Tyler Eglich; daughter, Mikaela Terwort; youngest daughter, KynaDee Morman, nieces, Jessica and Olivia Noble and two grandchildren; Nikohli and Isla.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 17th, 2021 from 11:00 am -1:00pm at Speaks Suburban Chapel in Independence, MO, following a memorial service for immediate family and close friends. She will be laid to rest next to her father at Mt. Washington Cemetery for those that wish to attend at 2:15pm.
