Carl Eugene Eichenberger, 81, of Raymore, MO passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018. A visitation will be held from 1-2pm on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at United Methodist Church of the Resurrection 13720 Roe Ave, Leawood, KS, 66224. A service will follow at 2pm at the church.
Carl was born on March 13, 1937 in Independence, MO to Elmer and Gladys (Lynn) Eichenberger. He graduated from Northeast High School, then began to work for Triple ‘E’ Food Products, a company in which his father started. He started in sales and retired as President. He was an administrator and choir member at Plaza Heights Baptist Church. He later joined the choir at the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection. Carl was an Eagle Scout, Scout Master, and part of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. In his spare time he loved model trains, he had an entire room dedicated to them. He also enjoyed playing cards and golfing. He got to spend his 70th birthday playing at Pebble Beach. In 2017 he finally reached his goal of shooting his age on the golf course. Most of all, Carl loved to help people.
He will be remembered by his wife of 44 years Barbara Eichenberger of Raymore, MO; son Carl Eichenberger and wife Frankie of Salem, MO; daughter Lisa Nichelson and husband Mark of Oak Grove, MO; sons Dan Israel and wife Denise of Lee’s Summit, MO; David Israel and wife Julia of Lee’s Summit, MO; sister Joan Petty of Jefferson City, MO; grandchildren Lindsay and Justin Eichenberger, Ryan and Erica Israel, Marcus and Brianna Nichelson, Matt Israel, and Lauren Osborne; and two great-grandchildren Christian and Annabelle Israel.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Lung Association: Pulmonary Fibrosis Research.
