Don O. Elefson

Don O. Elefson, 79, of Independence, MO, passed away Friday, March 24, 2006 at Carmel Hills Living Center. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel. Burial in Lobb Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Christian School or the Alzheimer�s Association. Don was born August 18, 1926 in Genoa, CO to Edward and Eleanor (Bruch) Elefson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served in WWII. Mr. Elefson worked as the farm manager for the RLDS Church. Don loved his family and had a strong faith in God. He had been active in many civic organizations in his spare time. Don is survived by his wife of 52 years, Chloe (Palmer) Elefson; sons and daughters-in-law Alan and Denise Elefson, Dwight and Cynthia Elefson; daughter Rhonda Schmidt; grandchildren Micah, Michelle, Mariah and Marianne Elefson, Joshua and Emili Elefson, Jason, Jordon Elefson, Timothy Schmidt; brother Vern and wife Jean Elefson; sisters Beth and husband Ron Gamble, Kathryn and husband Gayle Sacry, Esther and husband Gary Hoover; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
