Mary Catherine Elgin, 94 of Phoenix, AZ passed away Dec 8, 2006 at Simply The Best Care Home in Phoenix. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am, Tue, Dec 19, 2006 at St. Mark's Catholic Church. Burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 - 8:30 pm Monday at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave. Indep. MO, with the Rosary being said at 7:30pm. Contributions are suggested to Hospice of the Valley: Thunderbird PCU, 13620 N. 55th Ave, Glendale, AZ 85304. Mary was born on May 1, 1912 in Emmett, KS. She enjoyed painting, golfing and working in her garden and she retired in 1974 from the Wells Fargo Bank in Phoenix, AZ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph. Mary is survived by a daughter JoAnn Whelan of Phoenix, AZ. Granddaughter, Laura Goyer and husband Kevin and grandson, Kevin Whelan, all of San Diego, CA. Mary is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
