Carole J. (Gore) Elliott, 62 of Independence, MO passed away Sun, Oct. 10, 2004 at the Medical Center of Independence. Services will be 1:30pm, Thu, Oct. 14, 2004 at the George C. Carson & Sons Funeral Home. Burial in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 7 - 8:30 pm Wed. at the Funeral Home. Contributions are suggested to the Farris Theatre, Richmond, MO or the Shriner�s Children�s Hospital. Carole was born on May 3, 1942 in Kansas City, MO and was the daughter of Frank and Nell (Roth) Shaw, who preceded her in death. Carole had lived in Lake Lotawana before moving to Independence. She was the manager of Custom Designs in Richmond, MO. She had previously been an Insurance Executive with various area Insurance Companies. Carole had been very active in the Bingham Waggoner and the Chicago Alton Depot restorations. Most recently she was active in and made costumes for the Farris Theatre in Richmond. She was an avid gardner, an insurance CPC, CPCU and CIC and was a member of the Richmond Chamber of Commerce. Carole is survived by a son, David Gore and wife Sue of Richmond, MO. A grandson, Daryl Scott of Richmond, MO and many very special friends, including Pat Mann of Greenwood, MO and Ann Hancock of Independence, MO.
