Christina Marie "Tina" Elliott

Christina Marie “Tina” Elliott, of Independence, MO, passed away far too soon on Monday, February 28, 2022. She was 53. A visitation will be held from 12-2pm on Sunday, March 6, 2022, at Speaks Suburban Chapel; 18020 E 39th St., Independence, MO 64055.

Tina was born on November 23rd, 1968, in Kansas City, MO. She graduated from Ft. Osage High School in 1986. In 2004, Tina graduated with her bachelor’s degree from Park University and went on to start her own tax preparation service. Tina loved numbers and had a natural ability for accounting. She also loved taking breaks from crunching numbers and relaxing at the beach. She was a beach girl at heart. When Tina wasn’t wearing her beach sandals, she had on her dancing boots. She and Elliott would dance most every weekend and travel across the country to dance the Two-Step, East Coast and West Coast Swing. She made her own costumes and had numerous pairs of boots and shoes for her dancing events. Above all, Tina loved her family. She will be missed by every person that knew her.

Tina saved the last dance for her husband and dancing partner, Craig “Elliott” Elliott; her daughter Amanda Wisdom (Will Ridlon); her mother and stepfather, Deborah (David) Hatton; her father and stepmother, Dale (Beverly) Gibbins; her siblings, Jeff Gibbins (Lori Stephens), Monica (Mike) Vasquez, Lana Gibbins (Ross Jewett), Jana Gibbins, Warren Gibbins, Jake Hatton; as well as 4 beloved grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and amazing friends.

In lieu of flowers, which made Tina sneeze, potted plants will be accepted.
