Jack M. Elliott, 82 of Independence, MO passed away, Tuesday, May 30, 2006 at the Medical Center of Independence. Memorial Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 3, 2006 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel. Private inurnment will be in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m., until service time Saturday at the chapel. Jack was born December 14, 1923 in Minneapolis, MN to William J. and Audencia (Bee) McElligott. Jack had worked at the GM Leeds Plant for 26 years until he retired in 1987. He enjoyed reading western novels and was an accomplished musician who had taught children and had played coronet for the Kansas City Philharmonic. He was a veteran of WWII having served in the Special Services division of the U.S. Army. He was married to Ruth (McCoy) in 1956, she survives of the home. Other survivors include; 5 sons, Dave Harris and his wife Joyce of Independence, MO, Thomas Harris and his wife Patti of Silver Bay MN, John Elliott and his wife Sandra and Kevin Elliott and his wife Cathy both of Independence and Steve Elliott and his wife Pam of Riverside, MO; 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
