John England

July 13, 1952 — June 1, 2003

John England, 50, of Blue Springs, MO died suddenly as a result of an accident at home Sunday, June 1, 2003 at Independence Regional Health Center. Visitation will be 6-8:00 pm Tuesday June 3, 2003 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Services will be 10:00 am Wednesday June 4, 2003 at the chapel. Burial in Forest Hill Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established at Liberty Savings Bank, PO Box 1158, Platte City, MO 64079. John was born July 13, 1952 in Independence, MO to Ray and Jewell (Poole) England. Mr. England was employed by Kansas City Southern Railroad for the past 30 years as an Engineer. John will be remembered for his love of nature, bike riding (especially with his son), gardening, golfing, the adventure of traveling the back roads and for his sense of fairness and honor. John is survived by his wife Jane (Janie) Carroll England and son Cole of the home, brother Jerry England and companion Vicki Hicks of Kansas City, MO, brother-in-laws David and Rita Carroll of Maitland, MO, Joe and Roberta Carroll of Platte City, MO, sister-in-law Barbara and Ed Nielson of Maryville, MO, step sister Linda and Ed Jones of Lee�s Summit, MO, step brother Marvin Laffoon of Salzberg, Austria. Mr. England is also survived by aunts Mary Margaret Sturdevant of Freemont, CA and Olgia Poole of Buffalo, MO, cousins Deryl Sturdevant of Pleasanton, CA, Lisa Sharp of Freemont, CA, Robert Poole of Windyville, MO and Daunis Hendricks of Buffalo, MO, nieces Jaclyn England, Julie Nielson, Tiffany and Adam Kirkland, Samantha Carroll, Stephanie Carroll, nephews Ryan England and Mike Nielson, great niece Maddyx Kirkland, his cat Fluffy and many loving cousins and friends. John was preceded in death by parents Ray England and Jewell England Laffoon, step father Vernon Laffoon, niece Natalie England, nephew Matthew Carroll and a step sister Nancy Lamanno.
