Minnie F. Erickson, 104 of Sugar Creek, MO, passed away Tues., July 8, 2003 at the home of her daughter. Graveside services will be 1:30 pm, Thur., July 10, 2003 at the Ridge Park Cemetery, Marshall, MO. Visitation will be from 10 - 11:30 am, Thursday at the George C. Carson & Sons Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions, in her memory are suggested to the Sugar Creek United Methodist Church, 415 N. Sterling, Sugar Creek, MO 64054. Mrs. Erickson was born on Apr. 13, 1899 to George F. and Mina Hoyes in Marshall, MO and had lived in Independence before moving to Sugar Creek. She was a member of the Christian Church, Marshall, MO. Minnie was a homemaker and a devoted care giver all her life. She was married to John Erickson for 66 years until his death in 1990. She was also preceded in death by nine siblings, four brothers and five sisters. She is survived by a son, John W. Erickson, Carroll, IA,, one daughter, Shirley J. Hix and husband John of Sugar Creek, MO. Four grandchildren, Sherry K. Reese and husband John of Montgomery AL, John M. Erickson and wife Kathy, of Manning, IA, John F. Hix and wife Mindy, of Independence, MO and Melinda J. Dorris and husband Jeff, Blue Springs, MO and thirteen great grandchildren
