Eryn Munro Sullivan, a cherished brother, father, son, fiancé, and friend, passed away on March 25, 2025, in Kansas City, Missouri. Eryn and his twin brother were born on February 5, 1972, in San Antonio, Texas, while their parents were on a short vacation. They were then taken to the family home in Lubbock, Texas, where they lived until the boys were seven years old. Later, they moved to Blue Springs, Missouri, where Eryn lived a life dedicated to those he loved and a passion for the vibrant world around him.
Eryn attended Blue Springs High School, where he proudly served as student body president and participated in multiple sports. He pursued higher education at the University of Missouri, where he was a Political Science major and a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. His professional path took him through various roles, but it was in the service industry where he truly excelled. Eryn became a familiar and beloved face in the realm of hospitality, welcoming patrons with his radiant smile and personality at establishments including Houlihan’s, Lucky Brewgrille, and The Granfalloon, among many others. Alongside his twin brother, Marty, he co-owned and operated Sully's Pub in Clear Lake, Iowa, a venture that brought joy and community spirit to many. Eryn also served as the operating manager at Stix n' Stones pool hall, where his presence was felt by all who entered.
A remarkable aspect of Eryn's personality was the light he brought into every space he occupied. Known for his quick wit and wonderful sense of humor, he possessed a remarkable ability to make others feel valued and cherished. Eryn consistently placed the needs of his friends and family above his own, showcasing an undeniable commitment to the well-being and happiness of those around him. His true gift was how he loved, there was no one like him! As the son of a Rock ‘n' Roll Hall-of-Famer, Eryn also had a deep appreciation for music, often embracing his passion for playing the guitar. He enjoyed live music, playing his favorite songs on the deck with friends, and sharing all genres of music with others. He was an ardent fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, Missouri Tigers, Kansas City Royals, PGA, and NASCAR, eagerly taking part in the communal spirit of sports. You could usually find Eryn on the golf course, spending quality time with his twin brother, children, & friends, or on the deck enjoying any conversation you wanted to have.
Eryn's pride and joy were his beloved children, Holly and Mason, both of whom he regarded as his greatest treasures and highest priority. They were the cornerstone of his life, and he poured his love and dedication into their upbringing.
Eryn's passing was preceded by his parents, Fran and Niki Sullivan. His legacy of love and laughter will live on through his partner-in-crime and twin brother, Marty Sullivan (Lanett); his best friend and soulmate, Kim Tierney Marlow; his remarkable children, Holly Kepka (Maxwell) and Mason Sullivan; his beloved Uncle, Richard Munro (Kandy); cherished Aunt Renetta Jeanes (Tim); and numerous cousins and friends.
