Alex Ray Espinal was born on June 21st, 2016 at North Kansas City Hospital in Missouri to Kalee Krisman-Burnett and Santos Espinal. He was a bright shining light for six precious years before passing away from an acute asthma attack on March 2nd, 2023.
Alex loved Sonic the Hedgehog, Mario Bros, Pokemon, IHOP's blue pancakes, and Starbucks' cake pops. But most of all he loved his mother and his Papa. Alex was the best little helper, always eager to help his stepfather, Kyran, in any way he could (even when they picked on each other). He had a shy yet infectious smile and a personality that stole hearts at Crestview Elementary where he was in first grade, and also at karate where he was due for another stripe on his white belt. In the past, he spent all his spare time leveling up in video games. But when his little sister Imrie was born, she immediately became his priority. He loved being a big brother and especially loved singing her lullabies. Alex was loved, cherished, and a blessing to all who were fortunate enough to meet him.
Alex is survived by his mom, Kalee Krisman-Burnett, and stepfather, Kyran Elmore; father, Santos Espinal; sisters, Imrie Elmore and Andrea Espinal; grandparents, Wendy Krisman & Kerry Burnett, Marisol Gonzalez, Misty & Jimmy Travis, and Dustin Elmore; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A celebration of Alex’s life will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, March 11th, 2023, at Speaks Suburban Chapel in Independence, Missouri.
