Shirley J. Etzenhauser (Miller)

Shirley J. Etzenhauser, 84, Elizabeth City, NC formerly of Independence, MO passed away Friday, January 16, 2015. Shirley was born October 14, 1930 in Independence, MO the daughter of Floyd and Bertha (Brewer) Miller. She worked at Anderson Bookstore in Kansas City for nearly 20 years. Shirley was a member of the Community of Christ Ridgewood Congregation. She moved to Virginia in 1990 with her husband, Robert. He passed away in 2001. Shirley has lived in Elizabeth City, NC for the last ten years. Shirley enjoyed quilting, traveling, and she loved her pets. She was preceded in death by her husband; four brothers, and her parents. Survivors include her son, Merrill Etzenhauser; and daughter, Marilyn Etzenhauser. Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Mound Grove Cemetery.
