Rosemary Etzenhouser

September 14, 1917 — December 11, 2005

Rosemary Etzenhouser, 88 of Independence passed away Sun. Dec 11, 2005 at the Regency Care Center. Services will be 2 pm, Sat. Dec 17, 2005 at Southview Baptist Church, 8015 Sterling, Raytown, MO. Visitation will be preceding the service from 12:30 - 2:00 pm at the church. Burial in Floral Hills Cemetery. Contributions are suggested to Children�s Mercy Hospital. Rosemary was born on Sep. 4, 1917 to Harry and Theora (Fears) McDaniel in Naylor, MO. She had been an Accounting Technician in the Health, Education and Welfare Department of the Federal Government, retiring in 1979 after 31 years of service. Rosemary was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed reading, crocheting and cooking for her family. She truly enjoyed getting all the family together for various family gatherings. Rosemary was a very active member of Southview Baptist Church (formerly Monroe Avenue Baptist Church) since 1951. She had been the assistant treasurer, Sunday school teacher and organizer of many senior citizen church trips. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jimmie Lue Brown in 1996. Rosemary is survived by her husband of 55 years, Fred Etzenhouser of Independence. A son, Frank Etzenhouser and wife Nadine of Dawn, MO. Two daughters, Joyce McCollum and husband, Marty of Independence, MO and Chari King of Washington, D.C. Eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
