Charles Q. Eubanks, 79 of Independence, MO passed away, Sunday, January 19, 2014 at his residence. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. Burial will follow in Mt. Washington Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday evening at the chapel. Charles was born July 23, 1934 in Independence, MO to Quinn G. and Mary Velva (Haley) Eubanks and has been a lifelong resident of Independence and had graduated from East High School in 1953. He proudly served in the US Navy from 1959-61. He had worked for Eubanks Ceramics for a number of years and had retired from the KCATA in 1997, where he worked as a bus mechanic. He was a member of the Transit Workers Union. He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Francene of the home; 2 sons, Charles Lee Eubanks and Jonathan G. Eubanks both of Independence, MO; a sister, Mary Judith Redford of Independence, MO.
