Eva Clarriece (Taylor) Casteel, A.K.A. "Curly", A.K.A. Candy, was born on August 29, 1942 in the Bakersfield, California General Hospital to parents Clarence Preston Taylor and Eva Clementine (Pfeifer) Taylor. Clarriece as she was called by her family spent a few of her early years in California, as her parents worked for several of the aircraft plants for the WWII effort. Clarriece's family later returned to the family farm near Pleasant Hope, MO in a farming community known as Red Top. Here Clarriece attended school in Pleasant Hope and became a very loving and family-oriented young woman. She loved nature, the outdoors, and fishing. After high school she went to Kansas City, MO to find work. This is where she met a young man named Jesse L. Casteel; the two fell in love and were wed on September 30, 1967, and enjoyed a very full and wonderful life together. Although no children were born from this union, both Clarriece "Candy" and Jesse loved and enjoyed helping with nieces and nephews, and friends' children, she had so much love to give. She enjoyed and loved activities with all family and friends. If you knew her, you loved her, and her you! May she rest in our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
A memorial for Clarriece "Candy" will be held at a later date. All will be notified prior.
