Emma Lorene Evans

Emma Lorene Evans, 86 of Bella Vista, AR, formerly of Independence, MO passed away Tue. Feb 1, 2005 at the Concordia Retirement Center in Bella Vista. Services will be 11:00 am, Sat. Feb 5, 2005 at Maywood Baptist Church, 10505 E. Winner Rd. Indep. MO. Burial in Mt. Washington Forever Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 - 11:00 am prior to the service. Contributions are suggested to the Maywood Baptist Church. Mrs. Evans was born on Sep 12, 1918 to John & Edna Gibson in Lusk, WY and had lived in the Independence area most of her adult life. She had been employed with the Kansas City School District in the Food Service Department for over 23 years. Her number one hobby was quilting, which she was able to continue doing until recently. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother and will greatly be missed. Mrs. Evans had been a very active member of Maywood Baptist Church for many years and still maintained a close association with the church after moving to Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Evans in 1986. She is survived by a son, Stephen J. Evans and wife Sara of Bella Vista, AR. Two daughters, Jerrillee DeSaro of King City, OR and Sue Barker and husband Steve of Rogers, AR. One sister Marvey Beydler of Lompac, CA Six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
