James Evans

James Owen Evans, 59 of Independence, MO, passed away suddenly Thursday evening at Centerpoint Medical Center. Cremation is planned with a memorial service to be held at 6:30 p.m., Monday, January 20, 2014 at the Highland Manor Club House 17311 E. 40 Highway, Independence, MO. James was born December 28, 1954 in Independence, MO and has been a lifelong resident. He had worked for CKS as a machine operator for a number of years. He enjoyed reading books, playing video games and, most of all spending time with his family. He was married to Jody (Lang) who preceded him in death on November 20, 2010. He is survived by; 3 daughters, Jamie Evans and Mandy Evans both of Independence, MO and Cristine Van Becelaere of Pensacola, FL; 2 sisters, Evelyn Smith and Vickie Evans both of Independence, MO; a brother Jon Evans of Independence, MO and 2 grandchildren, Trinity Van Becelaere and Annabell Beck.
