Wanda L. Evans, 84, Independence, MO passed away July 27, 2018. A memorial visitation will be held 5 – 7 pm, Sunday, Aug. 5 at Carson-Speaks Chapel., 1501 W. Lexington, Ave., Independence, MO 64052; cremation. The family requests contributions to Crossroads for Kids, 4310 E 42nd St S #600, Independence, MO 64055.
Wanda was born Nov. 6, 1933 in Poteau, OK and attended Northeast High School in Kansas City. She worked at American Central Transportation Co. and retired in 2003. She enjoyed crafts, antiques, working crossword puzzles and Blues and Jazz music.
Wanda was preceded in death by three brothers. She is survived by daughters Lisa Harris and husband Kevin; Beth Pace and husband Monte, all of Independence, MO; son Mike Evans, Birmingham, Al; companion Bob Hawkins, Independence, MO; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
