Evert Wesley Howser

Evert Wesley Howser, beloved Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Uncle and Cherished Friend, left this world on January 2, 2025, just days after celebrating his 49th birthday. Born on December 27, 1975 to J. Leroy and Evelyn, Evert was a vibrant soul whose wit and infectious laughter brightened the lives of everyone who crossed his path.

Love of the outdoors was reflected in every part of his life. Hunting deer, turkey and fishing wherever they were biting with his family and friends made countless memories he held dear. He also had a passion for cooking, grilling and smoking meals for his loved ones.

Playing the bass guitar and harmonica with his Father and Brother brought joy that enriched their family moments together. Accompanied by laughter that harmonized with the sweet music.

Evert, often described as quick-witted, jovial and ornery man who never met a stranger. His contagious personality drew people in, fostering friendships that lasted a lifetime. He touched the hearts of those around him with his kindness, always ready with a joke or a smile to uplift someone's spirits. Deeply rooted in his faith, he understood the importance of helping others.

Evert is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Christina; daughter, Diana; his parents J. Leroy & Evelyn; brother, Nathan & his wife Angela; their children Adalain, Clint & Wesley; Aunt Joyce; his wife’s parents Stephen & Bernadette; sister-in-law, Sonya and her daughter Katelyn; his dogs Loki and Sasha.

He is now joining his beloved family and friends that have passed before him and reuniting with pets Susie, Buddy and Lady just on the other side of that rainbow bridge.

As we remember Evert Wesley Howser, let us hold close the memories of his laughter, the music he created, and the warmth of his spirit. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness and Papa Bear Hugs. His joyful spirit will forever resonate in our hearts.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Midwest Transplant Network in memory of Evert.
