Stephen Ray Ewing

Stephen Ray Ewing, 13, Independence, MO passed away Jan. 5, 2017. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm, Wed., Jan. 18 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052; cremation.
Stephen was born Nov. 18, 2003 in Independence, MO. He was a 7th grader at Nowlin Middle School. He was a kind-hearted boy who helped students with special needs. He attended Crown Pointe Church. He enjoyed sports, particularly baseball and football. Upon his death, Stephen became an organ donor who has helped five people so far through organ donations. Stephen is survived by his mother, Amanda Ewing, of the home; father Ronnie King, Independence, MO; twin sister Shelbie Ewing; brother Thomas Tank, both to the home; Domanick Tank; sister Alexis Tank; step-sister Cheyenne Hardy, all of Independence, MO; step-brother Hayes Hardy, Warrensburg, MO; maternal grandmother Shellie Sanchez, Rolla, MO; maternal grandfather Lee Jenkins, Independence, MO and grandfather Antonio Sanchez, Warrensburg, MO.
