Elizabeth K. “Bettie” Eyssell, 93, of Buffalo, MO, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2018. A visitation will be 10-11:00am, Thursday November 15th, 2018, with a Mass of Christian Burial following at 11:00am, both at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 3736 S. Lee’s Summit Rd., Independence, MO 64055. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Bettie was born May 6, 1925 in Kansas City, MO to Frederick and Marguerite (McCance) Bergin. She was a secretary for Spencer Chemical Company and then for St. Mark’s Catholic Church, retiring in 1983. Bettie represented Colonial Springs Healthcare Center at the Missouri Healthcare Association’s “Beauty is Ageless” Pageant in 2014. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Arnold Frank Eyssell, her brother, Billy and sister, Peggy. She is survived by her daughter, Meg Eyssell of Buffalo, MO, nephew, Larry French of Prairie Village, KS; niece and nephew, Beth and Mike Pugh of Lee’s Summit, MO; niece and nephew, Aimee and Dan Nerling of Overland Park, KS; niece, Mary Knox of Washington DC; cousins, Pat and Ken O’Daniel of AZ; as well as, numerous other nieces and nephews.
