Richard Joseph Falk, 82, passed away on Sept. 1, 2016.
Richard was born on June 3, 1934, in Lee’s Summit, MO, to Edward Carl and Hazel May (Scherer) Falk at the home. He graduated from Lee’s Summit High School and then attended MU for Music Arts. He served in the U.S. Army Marching Band as a trombone player, and married Susan Jean Carson in 1960. He worked as a banker for many years for Farmers Trust of Lee’s Summit. Richard’s passion was music, and he was an excellent piano player. He also enjoyed golfing and taking his 1953 MG sports car out for a spin. Richard always said his happier times were taking his family to Prairie Lee Lake for cookouts.
Richard is survived by his wife of 56 years, Susan Jean Falk; daughters, Judith Frances Falk and Claire Louise Sanders; grandsons, Marcus Nathan Warren and Dominique Allen Warren; great-grandson, Aureus Nathan Warren; and sister-in-law, Kay Ellen Carson.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Elizabeth Ann Falk and Denise Marie Falk; and brother, Eddie Carl Falk II. Richard is and will always be truly missed by many. He was a wonderful man to everyone he met.

A memorial service will be at First Presbyterian Church, located at Maple and Pleasant on the Independence Square on September 9, 2016, at 11:00 a.m.
