Charles Wesley Fann, 84, Independence, MO passed away May 18, 2017. Memorial services will be at 2 pm, Saturday, June 3 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E 39th St, Independence, MO 64055; interment will follow at Salem Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1pm before the service at the chapel.

Charlie was born July 30, 1932 to Ernest William Fann and Mamie (Rothwell) Fann. He was the second son of three children.
He was a lifelong resident of Independence and graduated from William Chrisman High School. After high school, he enlisted with the U.S. Army. Following his service to our country, Charlie married Beverly Jean Taylor and held various positions with Vendo Co., Lake City, Allis Chalmers and retired from the Independence School District.
Charlie was preceded in death by his father, mother, step-mother Aileen and sister Irene Mackey. Survivors include his wife Beverly Fann of the home, son Chris and wife Shari of Raytown, MO; daughter Lisa Blann and Ray of Independence, MO; brother Bill and wife Beverly of Independence and grandchildren Taylor Blann, Natalie Blann, Curtis Fann, Trevor Fann, and his lifelong friend J.R. Payne.
