Jennifer Feller of Blue Springs Missouri, passed surrounded by family and in the hearts of many on October 25, 2020 at Centerpoint Medical Center, Independence Missouri. Jennifer came into the world, September 1968, as the daughter of Arthur and Beverly Meredith and joined her older sister Dianna in love and mischief. Jennifer graduated from Van Horn High School and began her lifelong career with Vista Food Exchange from the age of 17 until her passing. Her lifelong dedication and faith was reflected through her devout attendance at Central Assembly of God in Independence since before her birth. Jennifer raised her daughters at Central and inspired countless youth while serving as the youth leader for many years. God’s grace and love was ever present in Jennifer’s energy and passion for life and for everyone around her. Jennifer’s legacy began November 1987 through the birth of her first daughter Elaine, and continued through the birth of her second daughter Angela, July 1991. Jennifer’s life was driven through her passions, curiosity, and her need for adventure. Scuba Jenn, as she was known to many in the Kansas City scuba industry, started the first woman owned scuba diving business in the city; The Playground Dive Shop. Certifying well over 300 new scuba divers and introducing them to the underwater world she loved so much. Through her endearing smile and easy-going demeanor, she never knew a stranger. Sharing her philosophy of “Bubble Therapy” with people all over the world. Condolences have been received by the family from the Philippines, Belize, Honduras, and her second home, the beautiful country of Bonaire. Jennifer started scuba diving in 2006 and quickly went from basic open water through the ranks all the way to instructor in less than 3 years, ultimately becoming a Master Scuba Instructor Trainer. Through her love of photography, she was able to capture the mesmerizing beauty of the ocean. When she returned from her diving adventures, everyone would be hypnotized to hear her stories of diving in far off places and in her experiences through her photography; from the teeth of a shark, to the inspiring colors of the coral, all the way down to the bottom of the ocean where the smallest creatures hide. Jennifer volunteered her skills by serving as a Rapid Deployment Scuba Diver on the Lee’s Summit Underwater Rescue & Recovery. She served the team and the Kansas City area for over 10 years of Public Safety Diving in various roles including Diver, Secretary, Vice President, and President within the organization. Always ready and motivated to dive when asked. She was just as comfortable diving in “chocolate milk”, as she would call the local, muddy Missouri waters, to diving in the crystal blue waters of Bonaire. Many people dream of adventure, Jennifer took every opportunity to have adventures. Jennifer is preceded in death by her father, Arthur Jay Meredith. She lives on in the lives of her mother Beverly Meredith, her sister Dianna Little, her daughters Elaine Harrison and Angela Dickey, her granddaughter Lyanna Harrison, and in the hearts of her abundant family and friends around the world. The family will be hosting a visitation at Speaks Suburban Chapel in Independence, MO on Wednesday November 4, 2020 from 6-8pm. The family is overwhelmed with the love and support received from Jennifer’s many friends. The family is requesting no flowers be sent in memorial of Jennifer, but encourage donations be made in Jennifer’s honor to Lyanna Harrison.
