Naida Lee French Fenner, aged 88, died Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at the Wilshire at Lakewood Care Center in Lee’s Summit, MO. She was born April 6, 1928 in Lafayette County, MS, to the late John Edward and Amber Estelle Ramsey French. Naida worked in several occupations over her career, but was proudest of her civil service job at Whiteman Air Force Base which included ordering equipment for the B-2 Stealth Bombers, one of which was named “Spirit of Mississippi”.
A private family service will be held Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at the Speaks Chapel in Independence, MO, with her grandson Greg Bush officiating. Burial will be in Grand Pass Community Cemetery in Grand Pass, MO.
Naida is survived by four children, John Stephen Conners of Austin, TX, Pamela Jeanne Bush (Gary) of Lampe, MO, Judith Anne Rasmussen (Merle) of Blue Springs, MO, and Sara Llynne Roberts (Gerry) of Overland Park, KS; one sister, Mary Kathryn Leggitt of Yocona, MS; her grandchildren, Tricie Oehlke (Darin) of Austin, TX, Chrystal Conners of Woodway, TX, Leslie Nordyke (Kyle) of Colorado Springs, CO, Greg Bush (Gina) of Gypsum, CO, Nathan Bush (Jacklyn) of Nixa, MO, Amber Olsen (Tate) of Racine, WI, Kristina Pearson of Racine, WI, Sean Riley (Monica) of Olathe, KS, and Charles Riley of Shawnee, KS; and her great-grandchildren, Thane Able, Kirin Able, Killian Oehlke, Edward Brzychcy, Conner Brzychcy, Peter Brzychcy, Ashlyn Brzychcy, Kade Nordyke, Mason Nordyke, Lane Nordyke, Marcos Bush, Elizabeth Bush, Matthew Bush and Ellie Bush.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Fenner; her sisters, Ruthia Mae Babb, Frances Inez Thomas, Eva Alyce Cox, Virginia Jackson Pierce, Ada Marzee French, and Ida Marline Womble; and her brothers, Dewitt Carlton French, James Theodore French, Edward Doke French, Millard Ralph French, and Duman Ray French.
