Marie Ferguson

Marie Ferguson, 96, Independence MO passed away July 6, 2012. Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to Outreach International, 129 W. Lexington Ave., Independence MO 64050.
Marie was born May 11, 1916 in Columbus, OH to Joseph and Viola (Brush) Wemlinger. She and her husband, Gerald Glandon, raised six children. Following Gerald’s death in 1979, she married Charles Ferguson and moved to Independence, MO. in 1980. She was a member of the Community of Christ and was very active in the church throughout her life cooking for various youth camps and singing in the choir. Most recently she had attended the 39th Street Congregation.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Gerald Glandon and Charles Ferguson; daughter Jane Ellen Glandon; son John Glandon and daughter-in-law Bonnie Glandon. She is survived by daughter Donna Orbegoso and husband Cesar, Safford AZ; son Jay Glandon and wife Judy, Toivola, MI; son Joseph Glandon, Pickerington, OH; son David Glandon and wife Cindy, Blue Springs, MO; son Robert Glandon and wife Cheryl, Corpus Christi, TX; daughter-in-law Joanie Glandon, Independence, MO; step-sons Jack Ferguson and wife Jan; Ed Ferguson and wife Colleen, all of Independence, MO; fifteen grandchildren, twelve step-grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
