Rita D. Fialka (Dudeck)

Rita D. Fialka, 98, Independence MO, formerly of St. Louis, passed away peacefully on April 16th, 2018.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday May 23rd at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Chesterfield, MO with a reception at the church following the service.
Rita was born May 21st, 1919 in St. Louis and graduated from Vashon High School before earning a degree in accounting from Washington University in St. Louis. She volunteered for the Rockwood School district and set up the first library at Westridge Elementary. Rita loved to spend time in her yard; was active in the local Garden Club in Ballwin, MO; played bridge with a wonderful group of neighborhood ladies; loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to travel with her husband, her favorite destination being Estes Park, Colorado.
Rita is survived by her son Bill Fialka and wife Denise, Lee’s Summit MO; grandchildren Megan Biram and husband Cory, Alexandra, VA; Andrew Fialka, wife Katie and great-granddaughter Eva, Athens, GA; Erin Wear, her husband David and great grandchildren Emery and Campbell, Kansas City, MO.
