Michael “Mike” W. Fiedler, 59, passed away unexpectedly Aug. 10, 2017. A memorial visitation will be held 6 -8 pm, Thursday, Aug. 17 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055; cremation. Mike was born Dec. 18, 1957 in Independence, MO and graduated from William Chrisman High School in the Class of 1976. He worked at Kansas City’s Main Post Office for thirty years before retiring in 2015. He was a member of the Mail Handler’s Union and served as Shop Steward. He was a huge Chiefs fan and a football fan in general. He enjoyed hanging out with his buddies who played in bands and enjoyed Classic Rock, especially Rush. Most of all he enjoyed his grandchildren.
Mike was preceded in death by his wife Debbie Fiedler in 2011. He is survived by daughter Kim Fisher and fiancée Dale Watkins, Blue Springs, MO; his mother Betty Fiedler, Independence, MO; brother Steve Fiedler and wife Lucille, nephew Chris Fiedler, all of Blue Springs, MO; niece Christine Fiedler, Denver, CO; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
