Jeffrey E Firkins, 62 of Harrisonville, MO passed away on January 13, 2022, surrounded by family.
Jeff was born March 19, 1959, in Independence, MO to Ray and Minnie Lee Firkins. He graduated from Fort Osage High School in 1977 and attended NWMSU, MU, and UMKC.
Jeff was a very kind and witty son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who will be terribly missed. He loved music, he could imitate cartoon characters like no other, he was an avid reader and music trivia buff, and he enjoyed getting together with his family for Mom’s cooking.
He is survived by his wife, Frances (Gallegos) Firkins, his daughter, Sarah Firkins, (fiancé, Mike Gregg), son Michael Firkins (Jessica) and daughter Emily Firkins Spangler (Jared). He is also survived by his grandchildren, Alexandria, Ethan, Jordan, Aaron, William, Lucas, Evangeline and Grant, his parents, Ray and Minnie Lee Firkins, two sisters Christi (Greg) Dudley, Tana (Jeff) Smith, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be held at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 10:00 am, and a celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 11 am at First Baptist Church in Harrisonville, MO. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to First Baptist Church of Harrisonville, MO.
