John Frederick "Fred" Fisher

John Frederick "Fred� Fisher, 60, of Independence, MO, went home to heaven on Monday, March 22, 2004 at the Medical Center of Independence. Services will be 10:00 am Friday March 26, 2004 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be 6-8:00 pm Thursday at the chapel. Burial will be in Lobb Cemetery. Fred was born July 18, 1943 in Independence, MO to Roger and Edith (Moneymaker) Fisher. Mr. Fisher attended William Chrisman High School, joined the Navy and served in Vietnam. He worked at Owens Corning Fiberglass for 17 years. Then Fred worked for the Teamsters Local 541 where he served as Vice President and Business Agent for 14 years. He loved to make new friends, joke and tease people. Fred was known to be well liked and a good, kind and loving man. Mr. Fisher is survived by his wife of 29 years, Glenda Fisher of the home; 2 sons and daughters-in-law Jimmy and Paula Fisher, Jonathan and Stacy Fisher; his daughter Jocelyn Fisher; 4 grandchildren who knew him as "Papa�, Trent, Trevor, Sarah and Tyler; his mother Edith Fisher; a sister Alice Froehlich; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Fred was preceded in death by his father, Roger Fisher.
