Richard E. Fisher, 79 of Independence, MO passed away Friday, June 8, 2007 at Centerpoint Hospital. Services will be 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel. Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m., Wednesday at the Stoutsville Cemetery in Stoutsville, MO. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday evening at the chapel. Richard was born January 20, 1928 in Slater, MO to William Riley and Elsie (Huckaby) Fisher. He had worked as a construction laborer for the Laborers Union Local #663 in Kansas City for 30 years until his retirement. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was married to Dorothy (Littrell) on November 30, 1951, she survives of the home. Other survivors include; a son, Jerry Bainter and his wife Talara of Brighton, CO; 3 grandchildren, Denice Dietz, Dawn Council and Stacey Bainter and 6 great grandchildren.
