Samantha Lyn "Sami" Fisher

Samantha Lyn “Sami” Fisher, of Independence, MO passed away far too soon on Wednesday, June 9th, 2021. She was 23. A visitation will be held from 6-8pm, Tuesday, June 15th with a funeral service at 10am on Wednesday, June 16th, both at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E 39th St; Independence, MO 64055. Interment will follow at Mound Grove Cemetery in Independence.

Sami was born September 23, 1997 in Kansas City, MO to Sean and Jamie (Sloan) Fisher. She graduated from William Chrisman High School in 2016.

Sami leaves her parents, Sean and Jamie Fisher; her boyfriend, Alexander Leek; a son, Oaklin Hudson Leek; siblings, Tyler (Kalin) Fisher, Kaitlynn (Christopher) Gouge, and Rosslyn Fisher; grandparents, Debi Moore, James McCown and Virginia Fisher; nieces and nephews, Cecilia, Sullivan and Henry; aunts and uncles, Jennifer (Bill) Brown, Jason (Gina) Sloan, Penny Moore, Amy Moore, Steven Sloan, Rhonda (Gary) Whipkey, Cathy (Cory Ward) Fisher; cousins, Nick (Hilary) Whipkey, Christian and Michelle, Nate and Allie, Brandon and Courtney, Alyssa and Trent, Tucker, Lyric, Marquel, Davion, Xenia, Kylie, Preston, Alyssa, Sophia, Hannah, Cody, Molly; as well as Alex’s family.

She is preceded in death by her grandfathers, Howard Sloan and Paul Fisher; and her cousin, Derrick Whipkey.
